Motherhood is the doorway no one talks about
Deep work for mothers. Because motherhood doesn’t create our wounds, it reveals them.
Book a callThis is the deepest and the fastest change a woman can move through in her whole life. Not a season to survive. Not a pause before your real life continues. It is one of the greatest opportunities for transformation you will ever be handed, and almost nobody tells you it is standing right there in front of you.
We see so many mothers struggling in our society. That struggle is not a personal failure and it is not a lack of effort. It is a signal. It points at something inside us that is asking to be seen, and we struggle with it because this wisdom is no longer held anywhere.
Your child is not the obstacle to your growth. He is the one pointing at it.
Every trigger, every moment your heart closes, every reaction you swore you would never have. That is not failure. That is the exact place where your old programming becomes visible. Nowhere else does it show itself this fast, this often, this honestly.
This is why motherhood is the fastest doorway back to yourself. It is not about becoming a better version of you. It points you back to your true self, to who you really are underneath everything you were taught to be.
Motherhood is not a time to hibernate yourself. Not a time to sacrifice yourself. Not a time to abandon yourself and wait until they are older, until there is finally time, until it is your turn again.
It is a time to let it move you. Right now, in the middle of it, with the noise and the mess and the anger that rises. Not afterwards.
Your children are not in the way of this work. They are the invitation into it.
Why do we get so triggered by our children?
When they have a tantrum. When they say no. When they need you at the exact moment you have nothing left. When feeding is not going the way you hoped, when the nights do not end, when nothing you try works. Is this really normal?
And underneath, the quieter ones. Why do I shut down my love when everything in me wants to keep my heart open? Why does it go past helplessness into despair? Why is there a resistance in me against acting lovingly, when loving is exactly who I want to be?
Then the shame. Because we reacted. Because we said we would do it differently.
And you did decide differently. You read the books, you do the gentle parenting, you chose the conscious way, so your child would not carry what you carried. And still, something wakes up in you that you do not recognise, and it takes you over. Or a sadness with no bottom to it. Or an overwhelm so complete that you no longer know who you are.
So why is this anger still sitting underneath?
Because our children are our biggest mirrors, and what they point at is the deepest programming we carry. Your mother’s, and her mother’s, and everything this society taught women about where a mother belongs. It sits in your body, and it answers before you can. We are the first generation that wants to walk it differently.
These are your deepest wounds asking to be seen, and to be integrated. Motherhood is what wakes them. The books were not enough because you decided with your head while the old programming kept running underneath. Knowledge is the first step. It is not the last one. The way through is the body.
And nobody tells you that this does not only affect your motherhood. It affects your whole journey as a human being. Every relationship. Every place you made yourself smaller. When you finally go down into your shadows, what is lying there is gold. Freedom. Yours.
We watch mothers struggle, when this could be the greatest transformation of their lives. Nobody tells them that motherhood is the catalyst.
That is why motherhood is not what you thought it would be.
What happens in us as mothers when we are triggered has become so normal in this society that nobody questions it anymore. It is not normal. It is a message. Motherhood doesn’t create our wounds, it reveals them.
No one prepares a woman for this. No one tells you what your child will trigger in you, what your child will show you about yourself. That is the painful part, and that is why so many mothers quietly feel that motherhood is not what they were promised.
At some point everything you pushed down your whole life comes up, and the mask you wore to keep your face falls apart. It breaks through as anger, as helplessness, as chaos, as grief, as sadness, whatever is yours. That is not the problem. That is the invitation.
You can leave a job. You can leave a man. You can drive home from any retreat. You can leave a spiritual teaching, a growth journey, a consciousness training, any time you want. And most people do. Not because it stopped working, but because it started working, and it got too close. They call it a phase, or the wrong teacher, or bad timing. It was fear.
You cannot end it with a child. Tomorrow morning, that little hand points at the same place again.

I had two and a half years of pure bliss with my son. Then he reached the age where my own childhood wounds sat, and everything broke open. I had six years of trauma work behind me at that point, and I still fought against it. I kept it down, I kept it down, I controlled. And then this monster took me over. And it was not me. It was forty years of frozen anger, and I could not push it down anymore.
So I went down there. All the way. Today I walk this path with my own mother. She is 74, and we are healing the mother wound together, the one that was handed to her and that she handed to me. There is almost nothing deeper a woman can do. When that wound closes, something releases that was never only yours to carry, and it changes what moves forward through your children and what stops with you. I don’t teach a theory. I walked it, and I still walk it.

Pregnancy is the first awakening.
Birth is the portal.
Motherhood is the initiation.
It does not happen in the birth room. It begins after, in the everyday, and it takes years.
I know how that sounds. Years. But this is not something extra that motherhood puts on you. Growing inwardly is what we are here for, all of us. Everything that stops growing starts dying. That is why so many people arrive at forty or fifty and something falls apart. The growth was skipped, and life comes to collect. It will always find a way in, through a crisis, an illness, a marriage that ends. Motherhood is simply the doorway that opens earliest and pushes hardest, every single day, in your own home. Nobody names it as one. That is the only thing I am doing here: naming it, so you can walk through it on purpose instead of being dragged.
And what you are walking towards is not a better version of you. It is your true self. Your soul self. The one you were born as, before you were conditioned, before you learned which parts of you were too much and put on the first mask.
This transformation takes those layers off one by one, like an onion, until what is left is simply you. And from there you live free. That is what we all actually want in this life, to become who we truly are, in our full expression. Motherhood is the fastest way there, if you walk it consciously.
And at the end of it stands the embodied mother. The one this world is desperately missing. The mother who knows who she is and rules her own life in her own feminine power, without asking permission for it. That woman was taken off the throne a long time ago. Putting her back is the work.
Your shadow speaks to mine. And your gold speaks to me just as loudly.
When you sit with me, I am not analysing you. I am listening to two things at once. To the part of you that you have kept in the dark, the one that finds my own dark parts and starts talking, because it has finally met something that will not flinch. And underneath it, to the part of you that is pure gold, the one you stopped believing in somewhere along the way.
You do not have to explain yourself well. Most of what matters was never in the story anyway. I see it, I say it back to you, and something in you recognises it before your mind has caught up.
That is the gift. Not that I have the answers. That I can hear what is already in you.
I will be the cocoon.
I hold you softly, gently, with so much understanding. And inside, you change. Like the caterpillar becoming the butterfly. It is messy, it is hard, and you will fight against it.
That is how transformation works. I don’t promise you comfortable. I promise you held.
And what is waiting on the other side is gold. The caterpillar crawls. She has no way of imagining flight, she has no reference for it. And she does not come out as a faster caterpillar. She comes out with wings. She can go anywhere.
That is the part you cannot picture from inside the cocoon. So let me hold it for you until you can.

Out of the embodied mother rises the wise woman. The elder. There is no other way to make one. A woman who never came home to herself as a mother does not become wise at sixty, she becomes tired. That is why our society has almost no elders left. We stopped making embodied mothers, so we stopped making wise women.
Both of those archetypes were wiped out. We need them both back, and they come in that order.
And this is not a private matter. Mothers build the next generation. The next leaders, the next fathers, the next mothers, all of them are being formed right now, in your kitchen, by a woman who was taught her role is small.
It is not small. It is the most consequential work there is. And children can only become what they have seen. They cannot learn self-trust from a woman who abandoned herself. So we need mothers who are embodied and powerful, who believe in themselves again, who come back to themselves and remember who they really are and how badly their role is needed.
Your transformation is for you, and what it sets in motion is far bigger than you. Children who are settled and rooted in themselves, who know who they are, who were never taught to abandon themselves. Those children will lead the world one day. This is the ripple.
Your daughter will step into her motherhood more embodied than you did, because she watched you. And hers after her. Three generations back, three generations forward. This work does not only heal you. It puts a missing role back into the world.
To know yourself so deeply that you can hold yourself, and your own inner child.
Because that is what makes you able to truly hold your child. Not as a technique. In your body, in an embodied way, even on the days it is hard.
This is not a crisis. This is the most beautiful thing you will ever do.
Not because it is easy. Because you stop stopping. Because you no longer put yourself away every time someone needs you, just because you became a mother and somewhere inside you learned that this is what mothers do.
You are not posing as someone. You are becoming her. The strongest, most alive version of yourself, and motherhood is the initiation that makes it possible.
A guide to honouring the organ your body grew, and the threshold it belongs to. For mothers who feel that something was skipped.
A ritual for the morning you hand your child over to the world. Because it is not a small step, and it wants to be marked.
Your cycle is not an inconvenience to motherhood, it is a map for motherhood. A workbook to mother in harmony with your own rhythm.
